Welcome to Arrest Stories. A fifty-six-year-old Florida woman was arrested Sunday afternoon after allegedly pushing a seventy-three-year-old woman to the ground during a Charlie Kirk vigil at The Villages, causing the elderly victim to strike her head on concrete pavement.
Here's what may have happened according to police reports.
Courtney Beth Anderson was attending a vigil for Charlie Kirk at Lake Sumter Landing on Sunday afternoon when witnesses say her behavior became increasingly disruptive. According to the arrest affidavit, Anderson was yelling obscenities and displaying her middle finger to other attendees during what was meant to be a peaceful gathering.
The situation escalated when Anderson allegedly pushed her way to the front during Bible verse readings. Seventy-three-year-old Valerie Jamison approached Anderson about her aggressive conduct.
"I walked towards her and I said 'you're not coming up here, you need to get out of here,' and she just pushed me like that and I fell back, head hit the concrete," Jamison told investigators.
Multiple witnesses described the shove as completely unprovoked. The five-foot-nine, one-hundred-eighty-five-pound Anderson knocked the elderly woman to the pavement with enough force to cause a head injury.
The Villages Fire Rescue Department responded to evaluate Jamison, though she declined hospital transport. Another attendee, Paige Booth, said she felt Anderson push past her moments before the assault and grabbed Anderson's shirt after witnessing the attack.
When deputies arrived, Anderson reportedly admitted fault, stating "I was in the wrong, and I'm sorry." However, records show this wasn't Anderson's first brush with the law. She has an extensive criminal history in Lake County, including two prior battery convictions from June two thousand one.
Anderson was arrested and booked with bond set at five thousand dollars. The victim later expressed her feelings about the incident, saying "I hope I don't ever see her again."
All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
